KEY STAGE 1 THREE IN A BUCKET 2016
On Tuesday the 19th April 2016 some Year 2 students from 5 different schools took part in a Three In A Bucket festival at Market Weighton Secondary School.
We beat all the schools we played against, the first team we played was Warter school, the second team we played was Pocklington Infant School and the third team we played was Stamford Bridge School. That time none of us were out. That was our best shot at it.
We enjoyed it very much and it made us very happy. We were very lucky to be chosen for such a special occasion, it couldn’t have been more of a lucky day for us. We hope the other schools enjoyed it too even though we beat them all. Our favourite round was playing against Stamford Bridge because it was very funny, Edward hit a car with a tennis ball and we scored 20 rounders in total and no one got out. This was our best score.
We worked really well as a team, helping each other and cheering each other on in the games. At the end of each game we shook our opponents hands and said well done (Miss Petty said it was good sportsmanship).

Key Stage One Three in a Bucket 2016
Our opponents were Warter, Stamford bridge, Bugthorpe, Pocklington Infants and Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. We played three matches. We did not play Bugthorpe. Our first we played was Warter and then we played against Pocklington Infant School. We won that match 12-7. Finally we played against Stamford Bridge and we scored 20 rounders! We really enjoyed batting the ball and playing against children from other schools. In one match none of us got out!
Our motto was teamwork makes dreamwork. But when we played on the Astroturf pitch one boy from Pocklington Infants batted it backwards off the pitch. It was funny! At the end of each match we shook hands with the other team to say well done (Miss Petty said that was good sportsmanship.)
We really enjoyed it and can’t wait to play again.
